Sculpture > Imperial Poseur with Drop Shadow Prop

Imperial Poseur with Drop Shadow prop are two sculptures, made to look similar and given the same name. In this relationship there is no one and two. These pieces were made during my graduate studies at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. During this time, I was interested in creating a "simulacra" of a sculpture. It became Not so much a "wrong, failed copy. or dud" but a pair of totems creating a "generational" feeling. The cut blue, cast acrylic with its faces are the "duds" operating as both shadows and additional sculpture.
